Forum posting
Forum posting is an excellent way to gain backlinks for your website, most forums allow you to attach a signature to your posts and in the signature you can include a text link to your website. It is best to post on a forum that relates to the industry that you are in i.e. if you have a recruitment website then find a recruitment forum, register and start talking to other recruiters about recruitment, its' a great way to gain backlinks, traffic and even business. To find the best forums for your industry simply go to either Google, MSN or Yahoo and search for forums in your industry i.e. if you are looking for recruitment forums type in recruitment forums, the ones that come up at the top are usually the best ones to post on. First off you need to register, once you have regsitered go to your profile page in the control panel, edit your profile and edit your signature, in the signature make sure you place a text link to your website, use the main search phrase that you are targeting in the text that links to your site and then get posting, the more posts you make the more links you will have to your site and the higher you will rank in the search engines for the phrase that you are targeting.
